Kendrys Morales tried to beat the Astros single-handedly by mashing all of the dingers
Kendrys Morales hits two homers in ALDS Game 1
The Astros won the first game of the 2015 MLB postseason and carried that momentum into Game 1 of the ALDS against the Royals, loading the bases in the top of the first inning before Yordano Ventura could record a single out. Colby Rasmus and Evan Gattis grounded into back-to-back groundouts to plate two runs and help the Astros jump out to an early 2-0 lead.
Jake Marisnick doubled and Jose Altuve brought him in with an RBI single in the top of the second, so the Royals were in a 3-0 hole by the time Kendrys Morales stepped in for his first at-bat of the postseason. And Morales promptly left the building.
The score remained 3-1 Astros until Morales stepped in for his second at-bat of the postseason. You'll never guess how that ended:
Of the six hits the Royals collected in Game 1, Morales' dingers were the only two that went for extra bases. He'll look to do more of the same, with some help from his teammates, in Game 2 on Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.
