Kevin Hart tried his hand at the U.S. Cellular 'Fast Pitch' and unleashed a 53 mph heater

Kevin Hart was on the South Side to throw out a first pitch before the Royals-White Sox game on Friday. He explained that only conflicts with his movie career prevent him from pitching professionally:

Hart also brought his pitching skills to the "Fast Pitch" booth. After a few warmups, the actor/comedian finally reached his peak velocity of 53 mph. To put that kind of heat in perspective, the throw fell just barely short of matching the speed of the slowest MLB pitch of 2014.

Hart is a two-time winner of the NBA All-Star Weekend Celebrity Game's MVP award, and with talent like this, I'm thinking one in the All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game is due as well.
