Kevin James takes BP with Mets, would like the nickname 'Blart-olo' Colon to catch on

James takes BP with Mets, has nickname for Colon

Tuesday was all set to be a big day at Citi Field, and that was even before the King of Queens showed up.

No, not Matt Harvey, who made his home debut against the Phillies.

The most talked about man at Citi Field Tuesday afternoon sported home white pinstripes, a thick dark mustache and like other visitors, found his fly balls stifled by the tall left-field walls.

James

"I started watching the Mets way back when, ever since I was a little kid," said veteran comedian/actor Kevin James, who took on-field batting practice in promotion of his new movie "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2," in theaters on Friday. "I think we're a team to be reckoned with this year. I'm excited about it."

James grew up on Long Island and is such a rabid fan that he named his daughter Shea after the Mets' old stadium. He leads rally chants on the Citi Field Jumbotron and attended the weekend premiere of his movie in a Mets grey away jersey.

"I was four when we won the World Series in 1969 and in college for the 1986 series," he said. "It's been an incredible ride."

James also talked about Bartolo Colon -- giving the Mets Opening Day starter an adjusted name:

"Paul Blart-olo Colon."

We wholeheartedly support this nickname/potential motion picture:
