Land of the Freese, home of the brave

On July 4, the #ASG Adventure took us to St. Louis, where NL Final Vote candidate David Freese plies his trade. And the Redbird Nation is definitely throwing its support 100 percent behind the October legend.

Fans voted on their phones throughout the game, either by text message or by clicking mlb.com/vote. The city has clearly moved on since a certain first baseman departed for SoCal. On a team with current and past All-Stars like Carlos Beltran, Yadier Molina and Matt Holliday, Freese is THE MAN. His T-shirts and jerseys dotted Busch Stadium.

And the third baseman delivered in a big way on Wednesday, fortifying his #FreesePlease campaign with a two-run single in the eighth inning of St. Louis' 4-1 win over the Rockies.

Whether or not Freese wins the Final Vote, one thing is certain: This is his town. Albert who?
