Here's Joe DiMaggio talking about his hit streak ending

73 years ago, Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hit streak came to an end in Cleveland. The Yankee Clipper went 0-for-3 with a walk, grounding into a hard double play in his final at-bat. So, was it just great Indians' pitching that stopped DiMaggio or was it something else? We'll let him tell the story:   

Making the decision not to walk to the ballpark, the cab driver's inauspicious prediction, All-Star reliever Jim Bagby ... too many bad omens if you ask us. Either way, it's pretty cool to hear DiMaggio take us back to the moment it ended. Oh, and the next day, the center fielder began another streak in which he would hit safely in 16 consectutive games.
