Look out, Pennsylvania: The Pirate Parrot takes a road trip
Don't be alarmed if you see a seven-foot bird riding a three-wheeler down I-70, Pennsylvania travelers.
The Pirate Parrot is venturing out on his third annual Cruise for the Cure charity ride, leaving Pittsburgh on Monday.
The 700-mile round trip to Philadelphia, which will benefit the Western Pennsylvania Prostate Cancer Foundation, includes stops to visit Pirates farm teams in Altoona and State College.
Fans can sponsor the Parrot with a one-time donation or by pledging as little as two cents per mile.
