Lorenzo Cain makes unreal leaping catch, forces Oswaldo Arcia to tip his cap
Lorenzo Cain makes amazing leaping catch
August has been pretty kind to the Royals. With Alex Gordon hitting home runs like nobody's business (including a walk-off shot on Tuesday and a game-tying dinger on Thursday), Jarrod Dyson swiping 8 bases with a .364 average and Salvador Perez wooing the umpires with his perfume, the Royals have gone on a 19-6 tear this month.
And that's ignoring Lorenzo Cain. You don't want to ignore Lorenzo Cain.
In the top of Thursday's 7th inning, Oswaldo Arcia hit a deep drive to center-field that would surely have resulted in extra bases. Only problem was that Cain was manning the outfield. Instead of standing at second, Arcia could only tip his helmet out of respect.
Thanks to catches like this, if the season ended today, the Royals would be back in the playoffs for the first time since their World Series victory in 1985.
