Louis C.K. just bought Babe Ruth's house in the Hamptons for $2.49 million

Louis C.K. bought Babe Ruth's house

In addition to being the undisputed funniest person on the planet, Louis C.K. is apparently vying for the title of "coolest person in the world" too, because the comedian recently purchased Babe Ruth's home in the Hamptons.

According to the New York Post, C.K. dropped $2.49 million for a six-bedroom home on Long Island's East End, where the Colossus of Clout (the Colossus of Clout!) used to "summer."

The home is known as Primrose Cottage, our spies say. The three-story Tudor-style home, built in 1901, is 4,957 square feet. It comes with six bedrooms, 3½ bathrooms and five fireplaces. It's on 2 acres, with plenty of room for tennis courts and a pool.

Over at the website for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, you can check out some images of the sweet pad, which they say is believed to have originally been intended to house "President McKinley and his paramour." So, it's got that going for it, too.
