'MadBum' was so good in the World Series, he earned his own line of underwear
'MadBum' underwear is officially a thing
Giants fans just celebrated their third World Series in five years on the back of one of -- if not the -- greatest pitching performances in the history of baseball. So, what's next for these lucky fans?
Wearing Madison Bumgarner-themed underwear, probably.
As Bumgarner was busy mowing through the postseason and setting historical marks left and right, someone with a keen eye for these sorts of things noticed that his nickname, "MadBum," could be cleverly emblazoned across the bottom of a pair of underwear. Thus, many Giants fans have already received a pair of special "MadBum" undies.
USA Today spoke with the folks behind the specialty boxer briefs:
The Jockey street team already passed out hundreds of pairs to fans Wednesday night at AT&T Park and the city's public viewing of the game at Civic Center. On Friday, it will be passing out thousands more at the San Francisco parade along the official route on Market Street.
They're still not sure whether or not the World Series MVP will appear in an ad promoting the underwear sporting his name, but rest assured that folks attending the World Series victory parade in San Francisco on Friday will surely be on the lookout for some free "MAD BUM" underwear, because why not?
