Did MadBum toss the best postseason pitching performance ever? Curt Schilling thinks so
Schilling says MadBum's postseason was the best ever
Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner just finished off one of the all-time great postseason performances. After dominant starts in World Series Games 1 and 5, MadBum entered in the fifth inning of Game 7 hoping to lock down the Royals' offense and protect San Francisco's one-run lead.
He did just that -- earning a rare five-inning save while giving up just two hits and no runs. That performance helped lead the Giants to their third World Series championship in five seasons. In fact, Bumgarner has been so good in the Fall Classic, he now sports a career 0.25 ERA across all three campaigns.
And if all of that weren't enough, he had his contemporaries and his predecessors raving about him on Twitter too -- even people he has to face day in and day out.
Here are the words of just a few current and former MLB stars:
Best post season performance ever #amazing

Only Bruce Bochy could win a best of 7 series with ONE starting pitcher. Big ups to Bumgarner and the Giants bullpen.
