Man's man John Axford live-tweets 'The Bachelor' during CFB Championship game
No one should be questioning John Axford's masculinity. He's a father and a professional baseball player with one of the best mustaches in the business . Plus, it's 2015 and the stereotypical gender norms that populate the offices of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce Cutler Gleason & Chaough need not generally apply to anyone.
But that didn't prevent Axford from having to defend his manliness on Twitter on Monday night where he caught flak for his choice to enjoy the reality television stylings of "The Bachelor" instead of the CFB Championship game featuring the Oregon Ducks and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Axford started by hilariously live-tweeting the "The Bachelor":
Every pro athlete past and present is tweeting about CFB national championship. @JohnAxford is live tweeting the bachelor. I respect that.- blake apgar (@blakeapgar) January 13, 2015
What's this about a National Championship game? Who cares...#TheBachelor is on people!- John Axford (@JohnAxford) January 13, 2015
Crazy cat talking lady is in? WTF? I guess you need to force some drama for more episodes! #TheBachelor- John Axford (@JohnAxford) January 13, 2015
TL: Buckeyes Buckeyes Buckeyes Buckeyes Buckeyes Buckeyes @JohnAxford Bachelor tweets Buckeyes Buckeyes Buckeyes- Michael Vargo (@mbeastie1) January 13, 2015
And eventually felt the need to remind the Internet that his man-card is irrevocable.
We don't believe such a card exists, but if it did, we're pretty sure the mustache award cements it in history.
