Hey everybody, the Marlins have something very important to announce. Are you ready? Pay very close attention. OK, here it is (make sure to unmute the Vine and turn your sound on):
WHOA. What a bombshell.
Wait, you didn't get that? Alright, here it is spelled out:
Sorry, that was confusing. Translation: -- .- .-. .-.. .. -. ... / ... .. --. -. / -- --- .-. ... .
- Miami Marlins (@Marlins) December 17, 2014
This is a really solid move for the Marlins. I mean, the guy in question posted .279/.336/.475 line last season. Plus, after his postseason heroics, he wasn't going to last long on the free agent market.
Wait -- you still don't know what they're saying?
All right, we'll run it through a Morse code translator for you:
MARLINS SIGN MORSE
And now the real translation... OFFICIAL: The #Marlins have signed Michael Morse! Welcome home, @MCode38! #MorseCode pic.twitter.com/LXBiIVQm4o

Indeed, the Marlins finalized a 2-year, $16 million contract with the former Giants outfielder/first baseman Wednesday. According to MLB.com's Joe Frisaro, Morse will play first base and bat cleanup behind Giancarlo Stanton.
We just wonder if the Marlins will announce Morse's name in code over the loudspeaker for every game at Marlins Park. We certainly hope so.
