Mets fans sing 'Happy Birthday' to Daniel Murphy

Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy celebrated his 28th birthday by batting second in the Mets lineup for the Amazin's first game of the season. In case anyone had forgotten his special day, the fans in the Big Apple Reserved seats made sure all of Citi Field knew. During Murphy's first at-bat, the so-called 7 Line Army sang "Happy Birthday" in unison to their second baseman.

Darren, the fan who organized this group outing, credits the idea of serenading Murphy to one of his Twitter followers. "It was only 20 seconds worth of excitement, but we pulled it off," he said. "It was pretty fun."
