And pretty solid hitters.

But what came before this glamorous life in the big leagues? Were things always so easy and fun for MLB's southpaws?

In honor of International Left-Handers Day (which was on Wednesday), Mets southpaws Josh Edgin and Dana Eveland spoke out about life growing up as a lefty. From notebooks to pencils to being made fun of in the bullpen, the world can be a frightening place.
