Mysterious photo of Ike Davis buying vending machine socks surfaces on Reddit

Earlier today, Reddit user nymb04 posted a photo of someone -- allegedly Mets first baseman Ike Davis -- buying socks from a vending machine. The man does look like Ike, going by my forensic beard expertise alone, but the sighting remains unconfirmed.

Discussion Questions:

Is this really Ike Davis? If so, Ike Davis, what are you doing? Are you not already wearing socks inside those sneakers? Can I have a high five?

Where was this photo taken? Is this a bowling alley, as one Reddit commenter suggests (that carpet does scream 7-10 splits and cheese fries)? Or could Ike be more of a skating rink kind of guy?

Since when can you buy socks in vending machines? Are they special socks? Should I be buying my socks from vending machines? Are shoes also available in vending machines?

And most importantly: why can't I look away?
