Brewers Minor Leaguer Nevin Ashley has a wife named Ashley, making her Ashley Ashley

Brewers MiLB-er Nevin Ashley's wife is named Ashley

Nevin Ashley has one of those Minor League success stories that will make your heart smile. On Wednesday night, Ashley made his MLB debut for the Brewers after more than 870 games over 10 years across various Minor League levels.

He spent time in the Dominican Winter League and the Arizona Fall League and accumulated more than 3,500 plate appearances before getting the opportunity to rope an RBI double in his first big-league at-bat:

But that at-bat almost never happened because Ashley wanted to quit baseball in 2013. He was 29, had reached Triple-A and didn't think he'd ever make it to the Bigs. His wife, Ashley, talked him into sticking it out, though.

"My wife told me, 'Hey, your body is capable of doing it. This is your dream. Don't give up now.' I stuck in there and I had a great mentor in [former Reds catcher] Corky Miller, who helped me find the love of the game again. Ever since then, I've been having a blast. Now, I'm here."

And yes, for those of you keeping score at home, that makes Ashley's wife's name Ashley Ashley.
