New Girl's Lamorne Morris threw out the first pitch at The Cell, much to his mother's chagrin

On Saturday evening, Lamorne Morris of the FOX television series New Girl tossed the ceremonial first pitch at U.S. Cellular Field. Morris, who grew up in Chicago, had a number of friends join him on the field for the honor.

His mother, however, refused to attend.

"My mom is a Cubs fan. She did not make it tonight. There is a reason for that," Morris said.

Although Morris is a White Sox fan, Saturday marked his first visit to The Cell. His mother probably had something to do with that.
