OK kids, gather 'round for Nat King Cole story time with Vin Scully

Vin Scully tells Nat King Cole story, narrates kid's french fry adventure

Vin Scully is the 86-year-old voice of the Dodgers. He's been in the booth for three perfect games, all six Dodgers World Series titles, at least one earthquake, Hank Aaron's 715th home run and basically every important moment the franchise has had over the last 65 years (ya know, except for Josh Beckett's Memorial Day Weekend no hitter).

Over the course of a Hall of Fame career like Scully's, especially in a place like Tinseltown, you're bound to accumulate a wealth of stories involving famous faces and legends of yesteryear. Like the one about that time Nat King Cole couldn't sing at a show because he lost his voice screaming for the Dodgers ... as they dropped an exhibition game to the White Sox by 11 runs.

Scully is aging as gracefully as anyone in baseball (or life, for that matter), still wonderfully describing Dodgers games, but also taking the time to use that iconic voice of his to admire the smaller things in life, like Yasiel Puig bat flips, little kid dance moves and babies using ketchup as lipstick.
