Celebrate the one and only Tim Lincecum on his b-day
Tim Lincecum is having a good year. He's experiencing something of a comeback season -- dealing with a dropoff in velocity while posting his best ERA since 2011 -- and remember, he's less than a year removed from his second no-hitter.
On Monday, he turned 31 years old. Thirty-one: The age when a lot of people start settling down, move to the suburbs to raise a family and perhaps put away their peculiarities and passions for a more stable lifestyle. There's nothing wrong with that, of course. But on Lincecum's 31st birthday, we politely ask him to resist those urges and stay weird.
Big Time Timmy Jim is one of the most interesting men in MLB -- nay, the world -- and for him to become one of us normals would be a tragedy.
Stay.
Weird.
