On today's episode of 'Ramos vs. Food': A.J. takes on the iron man omelet

If you've seen the Travel Channel show Man vs. Food, you know it centers on host Adam Richman taking on various extreme-eating challenges around the country. One memorable episode saw Richman tackle a gargantuan omelet platter at San Diego's Broken Yolk Cafe. The "iron man challenge" consists of 12 scrambled eggs (covered in cheese and beef chili), three potatoes worth of homefries and two biscuits.

Richman triumphed (earning a T-shirt and his photo on a wall), but when Marlins reliever A.J. Ramos attempted to follow in his footsteps during a recent road trip, he wasn't as successful.

While he was able to put away all the eggs, the potatoes ended up being his starchy downfall. Turns out his stomach just hasn't been conditioned for such a feat at present. But once his playing career is over, might Ramos be interested in doing what it takes to do what Richman does?

"Definitely," he told the Sun Sentinel. "I have to train a little better for it. I have to expand my stomach. I could mentally do it, but physically I couldn't stuff anymore into my stomach. It was awful."
