And now for some Orioles getting owned by children in ping pong

To be fair, they were some of the best youth ping pong players in the world. Young players from the Maryland Table Tennis Center, some of whom are Olympic hopefuls, challenged O's like Darren O'Day, Tommy Hunter, Nick Markakis and Taylor Teagarden in the clubhouse before their game against the Rays.

According to the Baltimore Sun, J.J. Hardy is recognized as one of the top table tennis players on the MLB clubhouse circuit. But he had no interest in seeing his reputation sullied with a possible loss to one of the prodigies -- like 2012 U.S. Open 11-and-under singles champion Derek Nie.

In fact, there may be only one person in MLB who'd have a chance to defeat Nie: Mrs. Met.
