Pierce tries hard on Dodgers first pitch, fails
Newly-acquired Los Angeles Clipper Paul Pierce was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Tuesday's A's-Dodgers game. Pierce, a man who's had plenty of experience with big moments, did his best to prepare for the feat. He acknowledged the crowd, took a deep breath near the back of the mound, shook off a few signs from catcher Kenley Jansen and fired from the actual rubber. Unfortunately, he should've probably moved up a bit closer to home plate:
