Phanatic dumps popcorn on Mets fan, but Mets get the last laugh in 14th inning
There are probably some tired bullpens in Philadelphia as the Mets and Phillies played their second consecutive 14-inning game on Saturday. Friday night's contest ended when something called a Reid Brignac notched a bases-loaded, walk-off hit to left. The next day, the Mets found themselves up 4-0 early as the Phanatic took out some of his frustration on one of the Mets fans in attendance at Philly's Citizens Bank Park.
That Mets fan had to sweat it out, though, as the Phils clawed their way back into the contest on the back of a three-run homer off the bat of Ryan Howard. For the second consecutive day, the game went into the 14th inning and lasted longer than five hours. A David Wright single in the top of the last frame proved to be enough to give that Mets fan the last laugh.
