Birthday photo of the day: Craig Biggio, catcher

Craig Biggio was a tremendous second baseman. He won four Gold Gloves, was selected to seven All-Star teams and tallied 291 home runs (good for third on the all-time 2B list) in his career. He also produced 2,606 of his 3,060 hits while manning the infield.

But on his 48th birthday, we wanted to remember Biggio the catcher -- a position he held during his college years and seasons 1988-91 as an Astro. The Seton Hall grad, and maybe soon-to-be Hall of Famer, won a Silver Slugger and made the All-Star team as a backstop. He was moved to second full-time in Spring Training of '92.

Happy Birthday, Craig.
