Revealed: Ron Gardenhire's instant replay cheat sheets
With the expansion of replay review this season, a manager's job has grown much more difficult. No longer can he simply set the lineup and daydream of Game of Thrones in between pitching changes.
Each skipper must now constantly strategize just when and if they should challenge an umpire's ruling on the field. The Twins' Ron Gardenhire has simplified this task with a two-sided laminated cheat sheet that he can refer to during game action:

While this is a fairly straightforward guide, it wouldn't shock me to find out that Joe Girardi has an entire binder of replay situations outlined with highly accurate odds for each. Or that Joe Maddon has his cheat sheet decorated with a different theme for each Rays road trip. Or that Ron Washington's cheat sheet is actually just a Ron Washington bobblehead that says "that's how baseball go" when you pull a string.
