Prince Harry of Harlem: His Royal Highness and Mark Teixeira play ball in NYC
The children of Harlem RBI are used to getting instruction from Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira, but on Tuesday afternoon, they were visited by royalty.
Prince Harry of Wales toured Harlem RBI's Field of Dreams -- helping kids field grounders, catch fly balls, swing off a tee and run the bases. The Prince even took some practice cuts off Teixeira. RBI set up the event to celebrate its new partnership with The Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
"This is unbelievable for Harlem RBI," the Yankees first baseman said. "Helping out kids and helping them reach their dreams is really a global thing."
The children were also thrilled to be in the presence of the Prince.
"Princes are usually in a castle doing something important," youngster Jolita Brettler said. "This Prince rocks! He literally rocks! If he comes here again, I would be right here on this field waiting for him."
Some tweeters have claimed that Tex bears a striking resemblance to Prince William, Harry's older brother (also known as Mr. Kate Middleton). We kind of see it -- what do you think?
