Question of the Day: Who are the Rookies of the Year?

With a rookie record 46 saves and 127 Ks in 77 innings, Craig Kimbrel looks like the front runner for NL Rookie of the Year honors. Braves teammate Freddie Freeman also turned in a strong freshman campaign with 21 homers and a .282 average, while Nationals second baseman Danny Espinosa and Phillies starter Vance Worley could also factor in the voting.

The Junior Circuit field is more wide open. Starters Jeremy Hellickson, Ivan Nova and Michael Pineda each have strong cases -- and figure to rank among the AL's top hurlers for years to come. Angels first baseman Mark Trumbo blasted 29 homers, the highest total by a rookie since 1997. His Royals counterpart, Eric Hosmer, smashed 19 long balls of his own and led all AL rookies with 66 runs and 153 hits.
