Raul Mondesi Jr. was recently traded, making us wonder what Rah-oooll Mondesi is doing these days

Raul Mondesi Jr. was traded from the Brewers to the Rays in exchange for right-hander Burke Badenhop on Saturday. The 20-year-old outfielder hit .231 with five home runs and 32 RBIs for Rookie-level Helena of the Pioneer League last season. And yes, he's the son of the former big leaguer who won a Rookie of the Year Award and a pair of Gold Gloves while playing for seven different teams from 1993-2005.

So we know you're wondering, what is the senior Rah-ooolll up to these days?

Apparently, the former right fielder is now Mayor of his hometown, San Cristobal, in the Dominican Republic. He began serving a six-year term in 2010.
