Retweet contest winner throws out first pitch at the Cell
You know all those friends of yours who are constantly perplexed by Twitter? You hear things like, "I don't get it. Why would I want to share with anyone that I had a chocolate bar after lunch? That's boring!"
I always say that those people are missing out. And here's some proof:
Last night at U.S. Cellular Field, Jesci Valdez got to throw out the first pitch before the White Sox-Tigers game (which was ultimately rained out) on Thursday. Did Valdez save a bunch of cats and dogs from a burning building? Did he win an Olympic medal?
Nope. All he did was win a Chicago White Sox retweet contest on Twitter:
Congrats to @jecsi_v, winner of today's RT contest! Be sure to look for him when he throws a first pitch as tomorrow's game v. Detroit!

Maybe your friends should reconsider and join Twitter.
