Rob Delaney will take over @MLB on Tuesday [UPDATE: He crushed it]

Update, 10 PM: Well, the internet is still working, @MLB remains intact and Rob Delaney laid down some solid baseball knowledge to the Twitterverse on Tuesday. Here are a few top tweets from the comedian's takeover and some of the more interesting responses:
Fact?
Baseballs were originally made of ham. MLB switched design after President Taft ate 14 balls during the 1971 World Series. - @robdelaney
- MLB (@MLB) May 7, 2013
Makes sense:
"Take Me Out to the Ballgame" was actually written by a young Robinson Cano. Cano is one of the games only 6 tool players. - @robdelaney
- MLB (@MLB) May 7, 2013
Madonna with some very method acting techniques:
To prepare for her role in "A League of Their Own," Madonna played for several seasons under the alias "Wade Boggs." - @robdelaney
- MLB (@MLB) May 7, 2013
And then people began to question Delaney's vast knowledge of America's pastime:
@mlb @robdelaney no way this is true.
- Eric Lindsay (@EricLindsayy) May 7, 2013
A.J. Burnett is also unimpressed:
@mlb can't wait til 7:00!!
- AJ Burnett (@wudeydo34) May 7, 2013
But the whole nine connection really doens't make sense:
@mlb @robdelaney 9 innings became the rule on March 7, 1857 by the National Association. Has absolutely nothing 2 do with human pregnancy.

C'mon, it's the Mick!
Disgusting "@mlb At an auction in March, comedian Billy Crystal paid $85,000 for a vial of Mickey Mantle's tobacco juice. - @robdelaney"
- Sean Campbell (@Sean_Campbell31) May 7, 2013
Finally, Rob responded to the doubters:
For those questioning my baseball facts today, maybe pick up an almanac or watch the Ken Burns doc again. You're out of line. - @robdelaney
- MLB (@MLB) May 7, 2013
And sadly, it all had to come to an end:
A lot of people are calling me a "hero" for my tweets today. That's crazy. I'm just a man who loves baseball & Amercia. - @robdelaney
- MLB (@MLB) May 7, 2013
Original post, 5/6:
Sure, he looks stellar in a Boston cap and can sing a superb rendition of the national anthem at Dodger Stadium, but tweeting is what comedian Rob Delaney does best.
And from 12-7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, the Massachusetts native (and noted Red Sox fan) will take over MLB's Twitter account.
Really, anything could happen. The internet could end, baseball could be forever changed or (most likely) we'll just hear a lot more things like this:
Amazing to think that a person can take over 200 poops in their lifetime.
