Rougned Odor fills Rogers Centre with ODOR (Offense, Defense, more Offense, and Runs)

Rougned Odor fills Rogers Centre with runs

With the roof closed at Rogers Centre for Game 1 of the Rangers-Blue Jays Division Series matchup, Rougned Odor knew what he'd have to do: Fill the place with his ODOR. And by that we mean the highly complex O.D.O.R system: Offense, Defense, more Offense and Runs.

The second baseman started off the scoring after reaching base with a hit-by-pitch (something he's pretty good at -- getting plunked 14 times during the regular season, tied for seventh-most in the Majors), coming around to score on Delino DeShields' RBI single.

Of course, it wasn't exactly easy. I'm pretty sure the entire crowd heard Chris Berman shouting "rumbling, bumbling, stumbling" as the second baseman rounded third.

He showed off the defense later in the game, making a nice play on Ezequiel Carrera's high chopper with a lightning-quick transfer and throw to first.

Odor helped provide more offense later in the game when he was hit again, coming around to score on Robinson Chirinos' homer:

Odor then wrapped up all the runs for the Rangers with his home run blast to give the Rangers some breathing room in their 5-3 victory.

With his three runs scored, not only did he single-handedly cancel out the Blue Jays' scoring, but he was the first player since Ryan Garko to score three runs in his postseason debut.

All together, it looked a little like this. And yes, I don't understand how people can possibly be so coordinated as to be able to both leap that high and high five each other. Maybe they use the elbow trick

The ODOR system: It means winning.
