Ryan Dempster celebrated a championship by ... throwing BP on the field at 3 a.m.
Let's say the pro sports team you're on just won the grandest prize possible. What would you do to celebrate on the night of the victory? Spray champagne on your teammates in the clubhouse? Chill in the VIP at the most excusive club in town? Put on an afterparty at your crib that doesn't stop 'til six in the morning?
For all we know, Ryan Dempster could have done all of that after the Red Sox prevailed in the sixth and deciding game of the World Series. But for at least part of the night, he was celebrating by doing what got he and his teammates there in the first place: having fun playing the game he loves. Comedian and Red Sox fan Mike O'Malley tweeted about it in the early morning on Thursday:
