Ryan Lavarnway is sporting a mustache -- and it's pretty awesome

Red Sox catcher Ryan Lavarnway has a bit of a baby face. He can't help it -- that's just how he was made. Doesn't mean he can't hide it though. That probably explains why he was sporting a mustache during Tuesday night's Sox-Yanks game.

But where does his mustache rank among the all-time greatest baseball mustaches? Is it better than Dennis Eckersley's? How about Goose Gossage's? You're never going to convince me that it's better than Rollie Fingers'.

Then again, those are all pitchers. How about batters?

I'd say that while Lavarnway's is good, it's not going to beat out that other classic Red Sox 'stache hanging under Wade Boggs' nose.
