Sen. Harry Reid's new catchphrase: 'That's a clown question, bro'
"That's a clown question, bro" is officially on the record.
A week after Bryce Harper used the phrase to deflect a reporter's question about his favorite beer, the phenom's home senator -- Harry Reid of Nevada -- invoked it in a similar context.
If a press conference query about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell waiting to take a position on the DREAM immigration act is a similar context, that is.
It's hardly surprising that Reid would be the first legislator to bust out Harper's signature retort. The 71-year-old Majority Leader has been a Harper fan since at least 2010 -- when he referred to the then-17-year-old as a "good role model" on the Senate floor -- and the two were spotted chatting at Nationals Park earlier this season.
