Shelby Miller's behind-the-back play highlights day of defense, makes man's head nearly explode
Shelby Miller's defensive gem blows player's mind
Heading into the eighth inning of Saturday's game against the D-backs, Braves starter Shelby Miller had a no-hitter going. And while he wasn't able to finish it off (Nick Ahmed's blooping single breaking up it up), suffice to say it would have probably ended much earlier in the game if it wasn't for Miller's "So You Think You Can Dance" style spinning grab.
In the top of the sixth inning, Ender Inciarte hit a comebacker to the mound, requiring Miller to go full Black Swan to make the grab. Inciarte, who thought he had the hit to break up the no-hitter, had no choice but to clutch his head so that his brain wouldn't explode out of it.

We talked to real-life scientists who told us that because of the sheer shock to Inciarte's system, if he had not clutched at his head as he ran to first, that this highly scientific simulation would have 100 percent happened. "For realz," they added, emphasising the 'Z.'
Of course, it wasn't the only nice defensive play behind Miller on the day. After walking two batters in the first inning, Miller received a little help with this long-ranging, diving grab from Michael Bourn in foul territory. The outfielder topped out at 27.6 mph according to Statcast™.
Inciarte would get some revenge later in the game. Beyond his RBI-groundout tying the game at 1, Inciarte ended a dangerous Braves threat. With the team threatening in the bottom of the ninth with two on and two out, Bourn hit a dying liner to center field. The D-backs outfielder was there, though, and with his own diving grab, pushed the game into extra innings.
Though when Cameron Maybin hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th to give the Braves the win, there was nothing Inciarte could do, but look up:
