Shriner Nationals fan gets fez-stive for Game 2 of NLDS
The Nationals dropped Game 1 of the NLDS to the Giants in dramatic fashion, coming up short in a 3-2 game after a pair of seventh-inning homers from Bryce Harper and Asdrubal Cabrera. With the first pitch of Game 2 barely half a day away, Nats faithful were out in full force in Washington to root the home team to victory.
The Gnome and The Hawk were probably pretty pumped, but it was a Shriner who stole the show at Game 2:
For those of you who aren't hip to what the Shriners are all about, feel free to fall down a Freemasonry rabbit hole over at Wikipedia. Watch out for the #Illuminati. They're everywhere, ya know.
The Shriners must have been pulling some strings, too because the Nationals managed to survive and take Game 2 despite pulling a lights-out Jordan Zimmermann with one out to go in the ninth, blowing the lead and having their manager and starting second baseman ejected in extras.
