Snake party: Rattlers visit the D-backs

It looks like the D-backs aren’t the only snakes in the Valley of the Sun flexing their championship muscles.

Earlier this month, the Arizona Rattlers won the 2012 Arena Football League Championship in New Orleans. After the victory, head coach Kevin Guy and several Rattlers players -- including quarterback Nick Davila -- stopped by Chase Field to show off their new hardware.

Fans who attended Tuesday's game against the Miami Marlins were able to meet the players and have their picture taken with the championship trophy.

This is the Rattlers' third AFL title and their first since 1997, making the local championship count Rattlers 3, D-backs 1.
