The 2015 All-Star Legends and Celebrities, like all, were very excited to see Snoop Dogg play softball

Legends, Celebrities can't wait to watch Snoop Dogg

The All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game took place at Great American Ball Park on Sunday evening, but the world at large won't get to see the action until it airs on Monday night after the Gillette Home Run Derby presented by Head & Shoulders. As such, the wait is just a little bit longer for what everyone -- legends and celebrities included -- considers to be the highlight: Snoop Dogg playing softball.

They've already had their unabashed anticipation quenched, but during batting practice before the game, the participants -- everyone from Paul O'Neill to Chad Lowe -- shared their desire to see Snoop play ball.

Below is just a sample of what they had to say -- watch the videos above, and below, for more.

Aaron Boone: "He's way cool."

Jennie Finch: "My teammate is Snoop Dogg -- how random is that, and how amazing is that? I'm excited to take the field with Snoop. … I mean that has to top everything, right? I can't wait."

Jordin Sparks: "You see Snoop? He is a very, very good sportsman. ... I've played in a couple of games with Snoop -- flag football games, some softball games. He's a good athlete."

Rob Riggle: "I've seen Snoop, he's looking good. He's in there right now, taking some cuts. ... He knows what he's doing."

Ozzie Smith: "He's got some athleticism. … He puts the bat on the ball."

Andre Dawson: "I told him, 'Hey, you are athletic. I expect big things out of you.'"

Miles Teller: "I think Snoop is going to enjoy himself no matter what happens."

Teller might have been the most spot-on. Snoop, in his own words: "I don't even know why they invited me, I'm not even a baseball player. But I love the fact that I'm able to stand next to these greats, these legends, these All-Stars, so I'm going to have fun today."

And it should be noted that Snoop had no intentions of letting these high expectations go unfulfilled:

"My game plan is to go 3-for-3, get two stolen bases and just do what I do."

Did he pull it off? We'll just have to watch to find out -- or, you know, you could read the recap.
