Starting Nine: Reds go back-to-back and walk it off

Many things are happening -- on Cut4, in baseball and out there in the rest of the world. Here are nine you need to know about today:
1. Reds walk off on Kimbrel
Craig Kimbrel -- yes, superstar closer Craig Kimbrel -- allowed two-out, back-to-back homers to the Reds on Tuesday night, ceding a 4-3 Braves lead in the process. Devin Mesoraco hit the first, Shin-Soo Choo hit the second and the Reds won 5-4.
2. J.A. Happ is in stable condition
The Blue Jays starter was hit in the head by a liner on Tuesday night against the Rays. Happ was conscious and remains in stable condition at a Tampa-area hospital. He's expected to be released Wednesday following further tests. We and players around the league hope for a speedy recovery.
3. Matt Harvey is bloody good
After battling a bloody nose throughout the first inning, the Mets ace was perfect for 6 2/3 innings against the White Sox on Tuesday night. And although he didn't get the win, the Mets did on Mike Baxter's 10th-inning single. By the way, Mets pitchers retired 30 of 31 batters faced.
4. Matt Kemp gives jersey, spikes and hat to sick fan
One of the nicest things you'll ever see a ballplayer do. Well done, Mr. Kemp.
5. Delaney domination
The comedian took over @MLB on Tuesday and shared his vast knoweldge of America's pastime. He's a master of the Twitterverse, but c'mon, you knew that already.
6. Sometimes, AL pitchers forget to bat during Interleague Play ...
White Sox starter Hector Santiago forgot to bat against the Mets on Tuesday night -- or perhaps he was just scared of Matt Harvey?
7. Which numbers haven't been retired by a team yet?
Dakota Gardner did some jersey number research and discovered that only three numbers under 50 haven't been retired by MLB franchises. Can you figure out which ones?
8. Ja Rule back to Livin' it Up
After serving two years in prison, the Queens-born rapper is back on the streets. Holla, Holla!
9. Just because it's The Onion doesn't mean it's not true
America's Finest News Source "reported" that no amateur skateboarders have landed a single trick in 12 years which, based on casual observation, certainly sounds plausible enough.
