Starting Nine: To ball like Wall, you gotta ... throw a first pitch

Many things are happening -- on Cut4, in baseball and out there in the rest of the world. Here are nine you need to know about today:

1. Stormy weather
The Yankees and Indians faced a rainout in Cleveland, but dark clouds were also spotted over San Diego: a Padres-Dodgers brawl led to the ejection of four players from the game and a fractured collarbone for Zack Greinke. Fortunately, the great Vin Scully was on hand to make everyone feel a whole lot better (it worked for me, anyway).

2. John Wall. John. Wall. John. Wall.
Wizards point guard John Wall threw out the first pitch at last night's Nationals game (which the Nats went on to win 7-4 over the White Sox). How does this factor into our fantasy basketball numbers?

3. Eat like a [Co]'MERICAN
The Tigers' Comerica Park has revamped its menu, and boy, do we like what we see. I'm pretty sure my right to bacon on a stick is specifically protected by the Constitution.

4. Yo no soy marinero, soy capitán
Felix Hernandez nailed his 1,500th career strikeout against the Rangers last night, though his Mariners ultimately lost what would've been King Felix's 100th career victory. On hand for the occasion: the Seahawks' Legion of Boom.

5. Time for an Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch sequel
#Cute4: a German shepherd got so wrapped up in her human's baseball video game that she lunged for an incoming pitch, nearly knocking the TV over. A flat-screen is a small price to pay for a pet who shares your interests.

6. Get caught up on Cut4's Masters coverage
After all, golf's just baseball with a smaller ball ... and a very misshapen bat. Did you know the Bambino lived for the links? Plus, Tiger Woods shot a drive into a fan's beer on Thursday (less than 24 hours after that Mariners fan caught a foul ball in his own beer -- weird, huh?).

7. Too sexy for their cleats
Clearly inspired by Cut4's Roundtable on our favorite uniforms, Vanity Fair has published a list of the top 10 best-dressed baseball players off the field. You work that tie bar, Matt Kemp.

8. Speaking of style
The Pirates are giving away free A.J. Burnett shirts at today's game against the Reds. That photo of Burnett is amazing, but why settle for a T-shirt when you could have it tattooed directly on your chest?

9. PSY releases follow-up to "Gangnam Style"
The Korean superstar's new single, "Gentleman," hit the Internet yesterday. We're dying to see the video -- not to mention Hyun-Jin Ryu's inevitable cover.
