Every Nov. 17 is Take a Hike Day. We try to keep things positive, so we're going to assume that's more of a "Take a relaxing hike in the woods!" sentiment rather than "Take a hike, buddy" -- and in baseball, there are many ways to embrace your love of hiking. You could go for a relaxing stroll among the Coors Field greenery:
Or take a climb up Minute Maid Park's Tal's Hill.
Or, as happens much more frequently, you could simply mosey down to first after drawing ball four. And what better way to celebrate Take a Hike Day than with players who were really excited to draw a walk?
Josh Donaldson is definitely celebrating today.
And his Blue Jays teammate Jose Bautista is likely right there beside him.
They're probably throwing a Take a Hike Day party. Hopefully they remember to invite Travis d'Arnaud and Yangervis Solarte.
