Tamales add southwest flair to ballpark fare

No need to worry if peanuts and Cracker Jack just aren't doing it for you anymore. Chase Field has you covered. Along with traditional ballpark fare like nachos, hot dogs and pretzels, D-backs fans can also enjoy tamales from Rey Gloria's.

Tamales are a traditional Mexican dish made of masa and filled with meat, cheese, vegetables and chili. Rey Gloria’s owner Reynaldo Cota said the tamales have become a fast favorite at the ballpark.

"It's such a unique food that you won't find at any other stadium," he said.

Cota has been selling tamales at Chase Field since 2008 and said he's seen an increase in sales every year. He now even has regulars who make sure to grab tamales every time they come out to a game.
