Terry Collins won Manager of the Year ... in Asgard, at least

Terry Collins won Manager of the Year ... in Asgard

There is Earth. And then there is everything else. Sure, we like to think that we are alone in the universe, but that's simply not true. For at the roots of the Yggdrasil, or the World Tree, it turns out that Earth, or Midgard, is connected to a vast array of worlds -- like Alvheim, home of the elves, Jotunheim, home to the Frost Giants, and, of course, Asgard, home to the Norse gods.

Perhaps you've heard of that one. After all, it's where the Mets' Noah Syndergaard comes from and why he has such immense power.

So when it was revealed on Tuesday night that Terry Collins, the manager of the NL champion Mets didn't take home the prize for Manager of the Year, needless to say there were a few Earthlings, and Asgardians, that were a little miffed.

Fortunately, he did win in another world.

Have to imagine he got a pretty spiffy trophy too. If you can't make out the inscription, it says "Whosoever wields this hammer, shall possess the power of making bullpen decisions."
