Terry Francona: Michael Jordan could have made the Majors

Terry Francona sat down with Bob Costas recently, and one of the topics was Tito's season managing Michael Jordan with the Double-A Birmingham Barons.

The current Indians skipper said he loved sharing a clubhouse with MJ, especially because of the six-time NBA champion's competitive drive -- a certain pick-up basketball game with Curtis Pride came to mind. Francona also said that Jordan probably could have reached the big leagues after another 1,000 Minor League at-bats ... because nobody said "no" to Michael.
