The Astros were one out away from a win ... then Ian Kinsler happened

Kinsler hits two-out, three-run home run in the 9th to lift Tigers

Ian Kinsler is having himself a week. Since June 21, Kinsler has raised his average from .287 to .308 and has logged seven consecutive multi-hit games. Everything started clicking for Kinsler at just the right time as the former Ranger made his first appearance at Globe Life Park at Arlington since the offseason deal that sent him to Detroit. After catching fire in Texas and helping his Tigers sweep two straight series, Kinsler and company went back to work against the Astros.

Detroit dropped the first game of the series in a one-run game and had their backs against the wall again on Saturday. Down a run in the top of the ninth with two outs and two men on, they were lucky enough to have Kinsler at the plate. Astros hurler Jerome Williams was one out away from securing the win for Houston when:

The home run gave Kinsler 10 RBIs in his last eight games and lifted the Tigers to their eighth win in nine games. Me thinks the word "rake" applies here.
