The Giants have their own rally monkey in the house for Game 7
Back in 2002, a lucky primate helped dash the Giants' title hopes in a thrilling seven-game series.
Have the tables turned a decade later?
Oakland native Valerie Blueford has been attending Giants games since 1978, bringing along her stuffed friend Vida since right about the same time the Rally Monkey rose to prominence 400 miles south of AT&T Park.
Named for Vida Blue, who was traded across the Bay Bridge the same season Blueford started following the Giants, the orange orangutan is reputed to have lucky powers of his own. Can he match the legend of Anaheim's favorite scoreboard sensation? We'll find out Monday night.
