The legend of Batkid is headed to Hollywood. Here's our dream Giants-centric cast.

The legend of Batkid is headed to Hollywood

The legend of Batkid is headed to Hollywood.

First, there was Batkid Begins, a feature-length documentary telling the story of how the Make-A-Wish Foundation transformed San Francisco into Gotham for then-5-year-old Miles Scott (whose leukemia has since gone into remission) to save. Now, Julia Roberts is turning that documentary into a major motion picture.

Roberts will produce and star in the film, and we're pretty sure she won't be playing Batkid. But who else should be cast for the film's roles?

Since Batkid and the Giants go way back (Lou Seal was among those saved from Gotham's villains and in April, Scott -- in full Batkid regalia -- threw out the first pitch for the Giants' 2014 home opener), perhaps a few ballplayers will volunteer for the movie. They can shoot on their off-days, right?

Our dream casting for the characters of Batkid's big day:

Batkid: Miles Scott, of course. There is only one Batkid.

Batman: Madison Bumgarner. In the fifth inning of World Series Game 7, the Giants lit up their MadBum signal and called for his help. Bumgarner delivered. Plus, just like Batman, people love doing impressions of him.

The Penguin: Tim Lincecum. He's closest to Danny Devito's Penguin hair

S.F. Police Chief Greg Suhr/Commissioner Gordon: Sergio Romo. The Giants 2014 leader in saves is used to keeping things, well, safe.

Lou Seal: George Clooney. One handsome gentleman playing another.

The Riddler: Hunter Pence. Because aren't you dying to see things like this?

Someone get Bruce Bochy and Roberts on the phone together and make this happen.

For those curious about what the movie will look like, here's the trailer for the documentary:
