The 'Mets Viking' might be the world's oldest Mets fan
If you were watching the Mets game on Friday night, you might have noticed an unusual looking fan in the stands right behind home plate.
That man was David Kline -- the Mets Viking.
"I am a Viking first and foremost, but I am a Mets fan of course" said Kline. Of course. Who did you think Vikings cheered for?
The native of Paramus, N.J., came prepared to bat away foul balls with his shield while wearing a "battle fur" designed to keep him warm, either "on a cold beach or a cold night here at Citi Field." With dinosaurs taking over Citi Field on Thursday and a viking at the ballpark Friday, one would assume it's only a matter of time before Christopher Columbus or some pilgrims show up.
