Thirty-three years later, Steve Gilbert and Mike Krukow meet again

In 1979, a 10-year-old boy in Glencoe, Ill. attended an autograph signing with Mike Krukow, Cubs pitcher and Hawaiian shirt aficionado. Fast forward to the present day. Krukow has been a Giants broadcaster for more than 20 years, and the boy, Steve Gilbert, grew up to be an MLB.com reporter covering the Diamondbacks.

With the D-backs in San Francisco to play the Giants on Wednesday night, Gilbert provided the CSN Bay Area crew with a photo chronicling their meeting 33 years ago.
