This may or may not be a photo of Joe Smith doing a 'lawn chair' yoga pose

Huston Street, Joe Smith take on yoga

Angels reliever Joe Smith is pretty good at yoga, but not that good.

After Monday's workout, Smith and his wife, CBS sideline reporter Allie LaForce, invited teammate Huston Street to a yoga session. Angels physical therapist Bernard Li also came along. Afterwards, Street posted a Twitter photo of someone in a very advanced Eka Pada Sirsasana pose and said it was Smith.

Unfortunately, it isn't.

"I can't do that pose, are you serious?" Smith said. "Come on. It's just some random guy he found."

Told that "random guy" in the photo looks just like him, Smith smiled and said, "Well, then it's me."

It may not be, but Smith has found yoga beneficial nonetheless.

It started at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, when the coaching staff made all the pitchers sign up to a yoga class over the winter in hopes of improving their flexibility.

"I hate stretching, just like everybody else," Smith said. "I just want to get up and go, like I'm an 18-year-old kid. But I can't do it. So you go into those places and it's like, 'Oh well, here goes an hour of straight stretching.'

"I just do it because I hate stretching, and it's just a way to get it in and I know it's going to help me."
